Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve greater independence and enhance their quality of life. This position is focused on providing essential support and encouraging personal development for clients in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
- Offer personalized assistance and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
- Facilitate the development of life skills and encourage participation in community activities.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized support plans and monitor client progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client activities and behavior.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and family members to ensure cohesive care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in related fields is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
