Job Summary
The Director of Business Development for Veteran Affairs is responsible for leading initiatives aimed at expanding business opportunities and partnerships that enhance services for veterans. This role requires a strategic mindset and a deep understanding of the unique needs of veteran communities, aiming to drive growth and foster collaborative efforts with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance business opportunities within veteran services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and veteran organizations.
- Identify new market trends and areas for growth related to veteran affairs.
- Lead team efforts in outreach and engagement with potential partners in the veteran services sector.
- Oversee the analysis of competitive landscape and recommend strategic positioning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, preferably within the realm of veteran services or public sector.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of veteran affairs and the associated regulatory environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
