Job Summary
The Director of Nursing for Home Healthcare plays a pivotal role in leading nursing practices and ensuring high-quality patient care within the home healthcare environment. This position involves strategic oversight and operational management, emphasizing the delivery of effective nursing services tailored to the needs of patients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standards of nursing care that meet regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
- Monitor patient outcomes and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Manage budgets and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance on clinical practices and policies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a nursing role, particularly in home healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to home care services.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered focus.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
