Job Summary
The Dish Steward plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for supporting the culinary team and ensuring an efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and cookware are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing floors, surfaces, and equipment.
- Assist with the organization of the dishwashing area and secure proper storage of clean items.
- Support staff as needed during busy service periods to enhance overall efficiency.
- Adhere to proper sanitation practices and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety protocols in food service is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
