Job description
Job Summary
The Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients. This role requires expertise in medication management and a strong commitment to patient care, while also complying with healthcare regulations and laws.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and provide clear instructions on their proper use.
- Monitor patient medication regimens for effectiveness and safety.
- Consult with healthcare providers regarding patient therapy and medication interactions.
- Manage medication inventory, including ordering and restocking pharmaceuticals.
- Educate patients on health management and medication adherence.
Qualifications
- PharmD degree or equivalent qualification with a valid state pharmacy license.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutic drug categories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
