Job Summary
The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing electrical engineering efforts on data center and telecom initiatives. This role involves the design of power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), direct current (DC) systems, switchgear, generators, and protection schemes, along with the creation of integration drawings. The engineer will play a key role in collaborating with clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies, while also providing support in construction, quality assurance, commissioning, testing, and on-site evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of electrical systems for data center and telecom projects.
- Produce detailed drawings for power distribution, UPS, and DC systems.
- Coordinate project efforts with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Provide assistance during construction and ensure quality control measures are met.
- Support commissioning and testing processes for electrical systems.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess project compliance and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum four years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Solid understanding of low-voltage switchgear and relevant electrical codes.
- Experience interpreting and creating electrical construction drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Project management experience preferred; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
