Job Summary
We are in search of a skilled Electrical Technician based in Akron, OH, offering a competitive pay rate of $35-40 per hour. This role is primarily focused on the hands-on assembly and fabrication of electrical panels and wiring for precise applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in detailed wiring, soldering, working with multi-pin connectors, electrical schematics, and precision electrical assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble electrical panels and wiring systems as per engineering specifications and established guidelines.
- Perform precision wiring tasks utilizing multi-pin connectors, terminals, harnesses, and various other electrical components.
- Read and decode electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation effectively.
- Execute soldering of wires and electrical components adhering to quality standards.
- Build control panels ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Manage routing, termination, labeling, and securing of wiring in panels and assemblies.
- Conduct detailed assembly work that demands precision and attention to detail.
- Follow technical documentation including engineering drawings and work instructions for assembly completion.
- Assist in creating and refining work instructions and documentation when necessary.
- Identify enhancements for assembly processes and documentation to boost overall efficiency.
- Take initiative on assigned projects, demonstrating independence and proactive work ethic.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Carry out additional hands-on assembly and electrical tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in electrical or electronic assembly, wiring, or similar technical roles.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with soldering techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, with a track record of producing accurate results.
- Able to work from detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Capable of working independently while taking ownership of deliverables.
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in confined or restricted spaces as necessary.
- Willingness to follow established processes while seeking out areas for improvement.
- Previous experience in constructing electrical or control panels is preferred.
