Job Summary
The Emergency Department Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing immediate and critical care to patients in high-pressure environments. This position requires a dedicated professional who can quickly assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting in the emergency department.
- Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced emergency department setting is highly desirable.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
