Job Summary
The role involves offering both direct and indirect patient care by supporting nursing and medical teams with various procedures and administrative tasks. This position is critical in ensuring that clinical operations run smoothly in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing and medical personnel with clinical procedures.
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) for patient assessment.
- Collect and handle specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Manage and monitor intravenous (IV) lines for patient care.
- Ensure the maintenance and readiness of emergency department equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background is required.
- Must possess a valid EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assistant certification, or be actively enrolled in a nursing program.
- A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized organization is necessary.
