Job description

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Technician plays an essential role in providing high-quality support and care within the emergency room setting. This position requires a dedicated individual to assist medical staff and ensure an efficient workflow during nighttime shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Support healthcare professionals by preparing the exam area and ensuring it is fully equipped for patient care.
  • Assist in the assessment and handling of patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Conduct basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment during shifts.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and support life-saving protocols as needed.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in an emergency department or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment are essential.
  • Ability to perform tasks efficiently during nighttime hours.
