Job Summary
The Exercise Physiologist position entails providing specialized exercise and rehabilitation services to clients in various settings throughout California on a per diem basis. This role is essential in promoting health and fitness by designing personalized exercise plans tailored to individual needs and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ fitness levels and medical histories to design effective exercise programs.
- Monitor clients during exercise sessions, ensuring safety and providing motivation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop integrative health strategies.
- Educate clients about health, nutrition, and lifestyle changes to support their fitness goals.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes.
- Adjust exercise plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
- Certification by a recognized professional organization such as ACSM or NSCA.
- Strong understanding of exercise science and rehabilitation principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients at various locations.
