Facilities Building Supervisor
Location: Archbold, OH
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000
As a Facilities Building Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance, safety, security, and management of two building sites. This role requires you to coordinate a variety of contractors, including those responsible for janitorial services, security, landscaping, and snow removal, ensuring that all operational processes comply with code and align with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate maintenance and repair efforts for buildings and grounds at all locations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
- Ensure compliance of all buildings with regulations and established company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify necessary improvements and implement changes as needed.
- Oversee contracted services to ensure quality work is completed on schedule.
- Address the facility needs of management and staff, providing ongoing support and assistance.
- Oversee work orders, preventive maintenance, and necessary inspections.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, painting, and relocation of furniture.
- Update stakeholders on the condition of facilities, project progress, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate on the upkeep of security systems, card access, video surveillance, and fire safety protocols.
- Work alongside plant maintenance teams to align on overall operational needs and issues.
- Partner with environmental, health, and safety teams to enhance safety programs and practices.
- Manage emergency situations, including after-hours response calls, making informed decisions on necessary actions.
- Assist in planning and executing capital projects, including renovations and new installations.
- Support budget planning and monitoring for maintenance and repairs, focusing on cost-effective quality solutions.
- Engage with local authorities on permits, code compliance, and public safety matters.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the team.
- Keep informed with industry standards through educational workshops and professional networking.
- Inspire and lead a high-performing team, focusing on recruitment, development, and retention of staff.
- Manage performance reviews, ensuring alignment with company policies on expectations and feedback.
- Maintain clear communication with your team through regular meetings and updates across various platforms.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines and budgets.
- Self-sufficient, with a proven ability to foster positive relationships with management, colleagues, and contractors.
- Experience managing projects across various locations.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with staff, contractors, and local authorities.
- Open to driving cultural and procedural changes that support company objectives.
- Certifications such as Stationary Engineer, CFM, and OSHA 10 are advantageous but not mandatory.
