Facilities Project Engineer
9 Month Contract
Hourly Rate: $58
Location: Santa Ana, CA (On-Site)

Project Engineer Overview
The Facilities Project Engineer will provide engineering and technical assistance to the facilities maintenance team, managing capital projects along with renovation and upgrade initiatives that support site expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project implementation through careful planning, resource coordination, scope definition, tracking progress, and identifying potential risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders to clarify, prioritize, and complete projects and programs according to established goals.
  • Manage and coordinate contractor and service provider activities for specialized assignments.
  • Engage with different departments to ensure operational requirements are met.
  • Plan and manage alterations or modifications to facility layouts.
  • Contribute to change management processes, including pricing, processing, and evaluating impacts on cost and timeline.
  • Maintain project documentation and control procedures, including managing RFIs/RFQs, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure that facility operations comply with local laws, building codes, and health and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Foster a safe work environment that promotes a culture of zero accidents through risk identification, preventative measures, and adherence to rules.

Essential Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in supporting facilities, manufacturing startup, maintenance, or engineering functions.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing infrastructure or facility enhancement projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure projects, equipment, methodologies, technical drawings, safety regulations, and relevant standards.
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering and problem-solving techniques to construction-related challenges.
  • Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting. Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed project schedules.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems, with a keen willingness to adopt new technologies.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage interpersonal dynamics, resolve conflicts, mentor team members, and motivate corrective actions in a collaborative environment.
