Job Summary
The Field Service Technician II at TDS Telecom plays a crucial role in ensuring connectivity among people through efficient telecommunications services. This position involves hands-on tasks such as splicing and maintaining outside plant infrastructure and related equipment, contributing to the seamless operation of telecommunications solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform splicing operations and upkeep of outside plant facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications equipment.
- Implement maintenance practices to enhance the reliability of services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities and repairs.
Qualifications
- Experience in telecommunications or a related field is required.
- Equivalent military service with an honorable discharge may be accepted.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
