Job Summary
The Financial Controller, also known as the Finance Lead, will oversee the financial operations at the mine site located in Gouverneur, New York. This key role involves managing accounting practices and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Controller will collaborate closely with the Finance, Procurement, and IT departments to uphold the financial integrity of the operations while adhering to best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting and financial reporting functions at the mine site.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and processes.
- Provide expertise in tax regulations and transfer pricing topics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial management, particularly in a mining or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Expertise in handling audits and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of tax laws and transfer pricing strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
