Job Summary
The Financial Controller or Finance Lead will oversee the accounting and financial reporting operations at the mine site. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accounting processes and financial reporting for the mine site.
- Coordinate the month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist in the implementation of financial systems and controls.
- Have a deep understanding of tax implications and transfer pricing issues affecting the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial management or accounting roles, preferably in a mining or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead financial projects and collaborate with multiple departments.
- Familiarity with tax laws and transfer pricing practices.
