Job Summary
The Floor Care Technician is responsible for the cleaning, buffing, and refinishing of floors within resident rooms, communal spaces, and offices. This role involves the safe operation of floor care machinery and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety while adhering to infection control protocols. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with residents, staff, and guests in a positive manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, buffing, and refinishing tasks on various floor surfaces in designated areas.
- Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep detailed records of activities and maintenance tasks performed.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established infection-control procedures consistently.
- Engage with residents, staff, and guests to promote a positive environment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in floor care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills to follow instructions and interact effectively.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
- Must reside within the service area.
