The Patient Service Representative plays a key role in overseeing the front desk activities, which encompass patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and verifying insurance details. Additionally, they are tasked with various administrative responsibilities, including the upkeep of electronic medical records and addressing billing questions. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, while an associate degree is preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office environment is strongly desirable, along with fundamental computer skills.
