The General Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial production machinery in a paper mill. This includes performing preventative inspections, troubleshooting complex failures, and executing welding and fabrication tasks to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals is required, with preference given to those with paper mill experience or journey-level status.
