The specialist conducts daily assessments of medical records to maintain clinical integrity and ensure adherence to medical necessity standards. They also create training initiatives for clinical personnel and work together with providers to minimize denials and enhance the accuracy of documentation. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology. A minimum of three years of experience in a hospital clinical setting is necessary, with a preference for those who have experience in utilization management.
