Job Summary
The Hardware Engineer role involves the design and development of sophisticated automation control systems. This position encompasses participation across various phases of hardware product development, including sub-circuit design, integration, functional analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within an agile team to engineer and design innovative industrial automation products, focusing on architecture and hardware validation.
- Program, analyze, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypes effectively.
- Develop and maintain product design documentation alongside comprehensive test reports.
- Engage in technical projects such as exploring new technologies, implementing cutting-edge circuit design tools, and diagnosing system failures.
- Coordinate with technical peers to establish test automation and design simulation methods.
- Foster interdepartmental relationships to enhance understanding of the product development process.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by refining best engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in cross-functional hardware product development.
- Proficient in using design capture tools, with the capability to interpret schematics.
- Strong understanding of circuit theory and operation, including knowledge of microprocessors, digital logic, analog circuitry, and programmable devices.
- Familiarity with debugging tools, precision oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Competency in programming languages such as Python and/or C++.
- Previous experience working in an Agile development environment.
