Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) Engineer
Location: Raleigh, NC
Compensation: $40/hr
The Hardware-In-Loop Engineer will establish, develop, integrate, and sustain real-time testing systems aimed at validating essential embedded hardware and software components. This role involves crafting HIL testing environments, carrying out both automated and manual verification processes, diagnosing hardware and software interactions, and ensuring that system performance adheres to rigorous quality, reliability, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities for the Hardware-In-Loop Engineer:
- Establish, integrate, maintain, and validate HIL testing systems
- Collaborate closely with teams focused on controls, firmware, systems, and hardware engineering
- Create HIL models, set up testing environments, and automate test execution processes
- Assist in product verification efforts throughout the development cycle
- Integrate hardware elements including ECUs, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
- Resolve issues related to hardware, software, and communications
- Evaluate test outcomes and determine the underlying causes of failures
- Record test methodologies and validation outcomes
Qualifications for the Hardware-In-Loop Engineer:
- Familiarity with HIL platforms
- Experience in test automation
- Background in hardware and software integration
