Job Summary
The Head Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in overseeing the clinical team, coordinating everyday operations, and guaranteeing adherence to OSHA regulations and radiation safety protocols. Additionally, this position includes supporting dentists in delivering quality patient care, managing inventory effectively, and providing guidance to newly recruited team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the clinical staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage day-to-day operational activities within the dental practice.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all radiation safety regulations.
- Assist dentists in patient care and treatment procedures.
- Oversee and maintain the inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
- Mentor and train new dental assistants in practice protocols.
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant Certification is required.
- Valid North Carolina X-Ray Certification is mandatory.
- A high school diploma or GED is essential.
- Must possess the capability to lift items weighing between 15 to 20 lbs.
