Job description

The HIM Coder plays a crucial role in examining patient interactions to accurately assign ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and ICD-10-PCS codes. This position is essential for maintaining precise patient records and facilitating appropriate reimbursement for inpatient hospital services. Applicants should possess at least a high school diploma or GED, along with training in medical terminology and anatomy/physiology, and have 1-3 years of experience in acute care coding. Preference will be given to candidates with AHIMA certifications, such as CCS, RHIT, or RHIA.
