Job Summary
The Hospice House Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to patients in a hospice setting. This position is scheduled for every other weekend, from 7am to 7pm, ensuring that our patients receive the utmost attention and assistance during their time of need.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Help with mobility and positioning of patients in beds or wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospice setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient-centered care.
