Job Summary
The Resident Care Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting residents by offering personal care, meal assistance, and maintaining a clean living environment. This position also involves monitoring the overall health and dietary needs of residents while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services to residents, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Oversee housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and organization within the residence.
- Support meal services, ensuring residents receive appropriate nourishment.
- Monitor residents’ health status, appetite, and general well-being.
- Assist in residents’ participation in various activities to promote engagement and social interaction.
- Ensure the safety and security of all residents throughout their stay.
- Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) is mandatory.
- Basic First Aid training is required to effectively respond to health-related situations.
- A high school diploma or equivalent educational background is essential.
- The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting weights up to 50 pounds, is necessary for the role.
