The role of the HR Data Analyst is essential in facilitating data-informed decision-making within the Human Resources department. This position is tasked with gathering, examining, and presenting HR metrics to improve workforce planning, boost employee engagement, and enhance the overall efficiency of the organization. The HR Data Analyst collaborates closely with HR leaders and various stakeholders to ensure that HR strategies are in line with the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Data Analyst:

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret HR-related data concerning recruitment, turnover, compensation, performance, and employee satisfaction.
  • Create, maintain, and refine HR dashboards and regular reports for leadership.
  • Recognize trends and insights to aid in the continuous enhancement of HR operations and policies.
  • Assist in initiatives for workforce planning and forecasting.
  • Draft, update, and circulate HR policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data held within HR systems.
  • Work in conjunction with the HR team to enhance reporting capabilities and optimize data usage.
  • Oversee compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Engage in HR initiatives and projects related to diversity, talent management, and organizational development.

Qualifications for the HR Data Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, or a comparable discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR analytics or a similar analytical role.
  • Skilled in HRIS systems and data visualization tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to clearly convey insights to management.
  • Understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Preferred experience with SQL or similar data query languages.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics and workforce modeling is desirable.
  • HR certification like SHRM-CP, PHR, or an equivalent credential is a plus.
