Job Summary
The primary function of this role is to prepare units for painting by executing a variety of tasks such as cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces. Additionally, the position involves mixing and applying various coatings including paints, lacquers, and enamels, ensuring that the final output meets the established quality and finish standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare units by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure readiness for painting.
- Mix and apply paints, lacquers, or enamels according to quality requirements.
- Move and position units to facilitate the painting process.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure work areas are organized and safe.
- Adhere to job instructions and safety procedures throughout the painting operation.
- Assist in training new team members as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- Ability to work independently while meeting productivity standards.
- Skilled at setting up jobs according to technical instructions and safety data sheets.
- Capability to understand and follow drawings related to the job.
