Inpatient Infusion Pharmacist
Centerville, OH
$55-60/HR Bill Rate
The Inpatient Infusion Pharmacist will contribute to pharmacy operations at five different locations throughout Southwest Ohio. This position entails responsibilities such as sterile compounding, preparation of medications, dispensing support, and utilizing Epic/Epic Beacon, while ensuring consistent coverage across various centers.
Key Responsibilities of the Inpatient Infusion Pharmacist:
- Utilize sterile techniques to prepare and compound intravenous medications in an infusion pharmacy environment.
- Assist in medication dispensing processes and pharmacy operations, including the use of Pyxis and Epic for documentation.
- Provide scheduled coverage across the five designated locations.
- Ensure precision, safety, and compliance in the preparation of antibiotics, chemotherapy, IV piggybacks, and IV push medications.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy and clinical professionals to enhance patient care for adults receiving treatment at infusion centers.
Qualifications for the Inpatient Infusion Pharmacist:
- A PharmD and current RPh licensure are mandatory.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience is necessary.
- Experience with Epic is desirable; familiarity with Epic Beacon is a plus.
- Proficiency in IV compounding is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in compounding pharmacy environments, administering chemotherapy, antibiotics, IV piggybacks, IV push medications, and knowledge of sterile techniques and Pyxis systems.
