Sterile Processing Manager
Cleveland, OH
Weekly Pay: $2,700 – 2,800 
Sterile Processing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sterile processing unit, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency in the processing of medical equipment and instruments. Sterile Processing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide strong leadership to the sterile processing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Supervise and train staff on sterile processing protocols, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, including but not limited to FDA, CDC, and OSHA standards.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient sterile processing protocols to enhance workflow and minimize turnaround time.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality control measures to guarantee the sterility and functionality of processed instruments.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any issues related to instrument processing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare departments, such as surgery, nursing, and infection control, to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select new equipment and technologies.
  • Training and Development: Implement ongoing training programs for sterile processing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain contingency plans for sterile processing operations during emergencies or disruptions.

Sterile Processing Manager Qualifications:

  • Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CRCST or CSPDT) required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sterile processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of sterilization practices, aseptic technique, and infection control principles.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and compliance tracking.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
