Job Summary
The Interventional Radiologist is a specialized physician focused on performing minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance. This expert is responsible for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions through advanced imaging techniques and interventions, providing patients with effective care solutions while ensuring safety and precision throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of interventional procedures such as angiography, biopsies, and fluid drainage.
- Utilize imaging technologies like ultrasound, CT, and MRI to guide interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine the appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, risks, and recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest interventional techniques and advancements in radiology.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a completed residency in Radiology.
- Board certification in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
- Possession of necessary licensure to practice interventional radiology in the respective state.
