Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology RN Weekender plays a crucial role in providing exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures during weekends. This position requires a skilled nursing professional who can swiftly respond to a variety of clinical situations, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients receiving interventional radiology treatments.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the interventional radiology suite.
- Monitor patients’ conditions before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, expectations, and post-care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards of care in the radiology department.
- Document patient information and care provided both accurately and timely in medical records.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in interventional radiology or related nursing specialties is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm in stressful situations.
