Job Summary
The Clinical Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting patient registration processes, conducting initial diagnostic assessments, and recording findings in the electronic medical record (EMR). This position serves as a bridge between patients and optometrists, overseeing patient movement through the facility and offering guidance on contact lens maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient registration and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Perform initial diagnostic tests and record results efficiently.
- Act as an intermediary between patients and optometrists to enhance communication.
- Manage the patient flow to optimize operational efficiency.
- Provide instructions on the proper care and handling of contact lenses.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of pertinent experience in an optical or healthcare environment.
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated strong customer service abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work setting.
