Interventional Radiology Technologist
Cleveland, OH
$2800 /wk
The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists physicians with minimally invasive image-guided procedures by operating advanced imaging equipment, preparing patients, and maintaining a safe and efficient procedural environment. The Technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality images and supporting the care team throughout procedures.
Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures and image-guided interventions
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively and safely
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic and procedural images
- Prepare and position patients for procedures
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Assist physicians and other clinical staff during procedures
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and procedural records
- Document patient information in EPIC electronic medical record system, preferred
- Prepare and maintain the procedure room and imaging equipment
- Perform equipment quality checks and report any issues
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Interventional Radiology Technologist Qualifications:
- ARRT certification
- Active Ohio State Radiologic Technologist License
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Previous Interventional Radiology experience preferred
- Proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and interventional imaging procedures
- Strong patient-care and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
