Job description
Job Summary
The IT Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding an organization’s information systems. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, ensuring that the data and systems are protected against cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for unusual activity and respond to incidents swiftly.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure infrastructure and applications.
- Stay current on the latest security trends and threats to proactively address risks.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in IT security or a comparable area.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, technologies, and frameworks.
- Experience with intrusion detection systems and various security tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
