Job Summary
A prominent organization in Falls Church, Virginia is on the lookout for a seasoned Payroll Accountant or Manager. This role will be directly reporting to an Assistant Controller who has a wealth of experience, including a background in public accounting and CPA qualifications. The position plays a critical role in managing payroll functions efficiently and ensuring all related operations are compliant with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with payroll regulations and ensure timely processing of payroll.
- Manage tax filings related to payroll activities to meet legal requirements.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees or management.
- Collaborate effectively with the finance team to maintain accurate payroll records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll accounting or related financial positions.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of working independently.
