Job description
Job Summary
The Laboratory Equipment Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and managing laboratory instruments and equipment. This position requires expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating various laboratory tools to ensure they operate efficiently and safely, supporting high-quality research and experimentation processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Calibrate instruments per established protocols to maintain accuracy.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies needed for repairs.
- Assist in training laboratory personnel on the proper use of equipment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow technical guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with laboratory staff.
