Job Summary
The Laboratory Support Technician is responsible for managing laboratory specimens, assessing their acceptability, and inputting patient data into the database. This position acts as the main point of contact for the laboratory, addressing questions and requests from physicians, staff, and patients.
Responsibilities
- Process and evaluate laboratory specimens to determine their acceptability.
- Enter patient information accurately into the laboratory system.
- Serve as the primary communication link within the laboratory, managing inquiries from physicians, staff, and patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred experience includes working in medical environments, proficiency in computer operations, or roles involving telephone communications.
