Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician in Roofing Systems plays a vital role in supporting the development and testing of roofing materials and products. This position involves conducting experiments and analyses to evaluate the performance, durability, and safety of roofing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests on roofing materials and components to assess their physical and chemical properties.
- Document and analyze test results, preparing detailed reports for internal use and for regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the development of new roofing products by conducting trials and providing feedback to engineering teams.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment according to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to support product development and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field such as Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on construction materials or roofing products.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to building materials and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
