Job Summary
The Laundry Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the facility by ensuring the effective washing, drying, and general care of linens and clothing. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care standards.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment following established protocols.
- Ensure machinery is maintained and functional, reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Fold, hang, and store clean laundry appropriately for ease of distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding laundry schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols accurately.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy laundry loads as required.
