Job description
Job Summary
The Lead Laboratory Technician is responsible for supervising laboratory operations, ensuring the team conducts tests and experiments according to regulatory standards. This role emphasizes the development and implementation of laboratory protocols, as well as maintaining high-quality standards in all laboratory work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory activities and manage technician staff.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for laboratory tests.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance regulations.
- Coordinate and perform complex laboratory analyses and experiments.
- Train and mentor laboratory personnel on techniques and procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and manage inventory of supplies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for findings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety practices and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
