Job Summary
This role involves assisting patients in choosing appropriate frames, lenses, treatments, and accessories that fit their prescriptions and individual preferences. Providing clear product information, including details about insurance, care, and warranties, is an essential part of the position.
Responsibilities
- Guide patients in selecting suitable eyewear based on their prescriptions and lifestyle needs.
- Interpret and accurately document patient prescriptions.
- Track orders and facilitate the dispensing of eyewear products.
- Inspect and make necessary adjustments to eyewear for optimal fit and comfort.
- Address and resolve patient concerns effectively.
- Maintain an organized and efficient practice environment.
Qualifications
- Must possess state licensure and a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in optical dispensing is required.
- Preferred qualifications include ABO/NCLE certification and familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Excellent organizational and computer skills.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
