Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in the nursing process by evaluating patients and executing treatment strategies under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position is essential in ensuring quality care within a correctional facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments as part of the nursing process.
- Execute treatment plans developed under the supervision of an RN.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Carry out diagnostic testing and record patient interactions.
- Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current LPN/LVN license in the respective state of practice is mandatory.
- Preferred one year of clinical experience in a relevant setting.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.
