Job Summary
The Long Haul Fiber Splicer role is essential for the installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks. This position requires expertise in fiber optic splicing techniques and a thorough understanding of network installation processes to ensure seamless connectivity and high-quality communications.
Responsibilities
- Perform splicing for long haul fiber optic cables.
- Conduct tests and inspections to verify splice quality and network integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute fiber installation projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of splicing work and testing results.
- Respond to troubleshooting inquiries pertaining to fiber optic issues.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and network installation.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic cable types and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
