Job Summary

The Machine Operator II role is centered around managing both automatic and semi-automatic machinery. This position demands adherence to production and process standards while also ensuring that the output meets quality specifications. Operators will consistently monitor controls, gauges, and meters to maintain production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently operate production equipment according to set specifications to enhance productivity, quality, and overall output while reducing downtime.
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and conduct changeovers on filling and assembly machinery.
  • Safely initiate, stop, and oversee machinery operations while complying with emergency stop and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
  • Maintain LOTO certification and uphold all safety procedures per company protocols.
  • Utilize control panels, touchscreens, and digital operating systems to monitor machinery performance.
  • Identify and address equipment issues, making minor adjustments and repairs according to established guidelines.
  • Report machinery malfunctions, production setbacks, and any irregularities to the Production Leader or Supervisor.
  • Keep accurate production records, machine logs, and operating documentation following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Verify production materials and components, documenting discrepancies and aiding in inventory management.
  • Conduct Cleaning and Sanitization (CNS) practices, ensuring a clean, organized workspace that complies with cGMP and safety standards.
  • Operate, set up, and run Drum-Tote Filling machinery while ensuring adherence to product quality and production mandates.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and effectively work within a fast-paced production environment, assisting in training colleagues as necessary.
  • Carry out additional operational duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Adept at reading and comprehending specifications and work instructions.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting manufacturing machinery.
