Job Summary
The Machine Operator for Saw and Shear will play a vital role in our New Brunswick, New Jersey distribution center. As a key member of our team at McNICHOLS, the individual will be responsible for operating machines that process various metal products, ensuring precision and quality in the production of items such as perforated sheets, grating, mesh, and other specialized metals.
Responsibilities
- Operate saw and shear machinery to manufacture metal products.
- Ensure the production process adheres to safety standards and quality requirements.
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency.
- Follow work orders and specifications accurately to meet customer demands.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in operating machinery, particularly in a manufacturing or metalworking environment.
- Understanding of safety regulations and quality control processes in machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
