Job description
Job Summary
The Maintenance Repair Technician will be responsible for the upkeep and restoration of various mechanical systems and equipment within the organization. This role is essential for ensuring that all operational machinery runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to overall productivity and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and replacements on faulty components to maintain operational efficiency.
- Document maintenance activities and track equipment status and performance.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance without disrupting workflow.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all maintenance procedures.
- Assist in the training of junior staff regarding maintenance practices and safety measures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, particularly in an industrial setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to equipment maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
