Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities. This role emphasizes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, as well as performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure high standards of safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to enhance equipment longevity.
- Document maintenance activities and any repairs carried out.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to improve processes and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of various hand and power tools, electrical systems, and plumbing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.
