Position Overview
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to enhance our manufacturing operations through process refinement, the introduction of new products, and ongoing improvement programs. This position will focus on enhancing product quality, boosting manufacturing productivity, minimizing costs, and facilitating the adoption of new technologies and methodologies. The ideal candidate will be a proactive engineer with a background in manufacturing process creation, Lean methodologies, and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, enhance, and streamline manufacturing processes to elevate productivity, product quality, and cost-saving efficiencies.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at process improvement and cost reduction utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies.
  • Assist in the rollout of new products through comprehensive process development, validation, and documentation.
  • Create work instructions, standard operating protocols, tooling specifications, and training materials for operators.
  • Examine production metrics to identify patterns, troubleshoot challenges, and implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and champion corrective and preventive strategies to boost manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work in tandem with production, quality, design engineering, and suppliers to address manufacturing hurdles.
  • Assist in the selection, integration, qualification, and validation of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Preserve engineering documentation and standard operating practices.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts targeting safety, quality, prompt delivery, and cost reductions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and tools for continuous improvement.
  • Insights into process validation, manufacturing enhancement, and product launch initiatives.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, process capability evaluations, and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of manufacturing machinery, tooling, and process synergy.
  • Proficient in CAD software and engineering tools pertinent to manufacturing.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in cross-functional settings.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and focus on operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects independently with minimal oversight.
  • A collaborative mindset with a talent for fostering strong relationships across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
  • Proven responsibility, initiative, and dedication to achieving high-quality outcomes.
