Job description
Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials within a facility. This role involves handling various materials and products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall logistics and production operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials to verify quality and quantity.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and inventory management.
- Prepare and stage materials for production lines and outgoing shipments.
- Utilize material handling equipment effectively and safely.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment to adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
